N95 Mask Fit Testing Education Sessions

Before we begin the mask fit testing, Copelia will provide a quick and informative education session and review each employees medical clearance form. Prior to the day of testing, we will provide you with the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard form which is to be completed by each employee expecting to do the fit testing. This process is the simplest and quickest method of getting your team ready to work. Employees will fill out the clearance form and bring it on the day of testing. The form will be reviewed by the fit tester. If a person is unfit to test for medical reasons, they are referred to their primary care physician for clearance. After the medical clearance forms have been reviewed, we will sign off on them and deliver them to your administration team.

Next we get together with everyone on your team who will be getting mask fit tested and educate them on the following topics:

Overview of Mask Fit Testing

This includes the purpose and importance of mask fit testing, different types of masks and their suitability for different situations and why N95 mask fit testing is important.

Understanding Mask Fit

This includes the various factors that affect mask fit, such as facial hair, head shape, and mask design and how our testing process ensures a proper and safe fit.

Types of Fit Testing

We will explain the difference between qualitative and quantitative mask fit testing and explain why Copelia utilizes quantitative mask fit testing for our services, and how to interpret results.

Mask Fit Testing Process

As a fit testing company, health is our #1 priority. This is why we go the extra mile and provide all testers with their own brand new testing hood which is recycled after the testing process. We do not make our testers share hoods like many other fit testers do.

Maintenance and Care of Masks

Copelia comes to your facility and handles all parts of the testing process in-house. While headquartered in New Jersey, we are happy to travel anywhere in the continental US to serve our customers and offer our testing services.

Regulatory Requirements

Paired with our fit testing services, we will educate your team on the testing process, the importance of testing and explain a proper mask fit. With a passion for testing services we are excited to share our knowledge with your team.

As we go through this different parts of our respirator fit testing education session, we will happily answer any questions your team has. We will ensure your team is knowledgeable and comfortable with the testing process. Once your team understands the process and purpose of the mask fit testing, we will begin the testing process. To learn more about the testing process, review our mask fit testing services page.
